Interspersed throughout the game are educational articles that will help you better understand World War I. The game is a mixture of exploration, puzzle solving, and the occasional action set piece. I actually used still frames from this game as Windows desktop wallpapers for a while. The game’s cartoon graphics are stylish and beautiful, and really pull you in. It’s worth playing just for the story.Įxcellent presentation. As the quote above notes, this game is based on actual letters written home from the front in World War I, and it’s got real heart. Indeed, there’s so much to recommend here. Or just pay $6.99 to get the whole thing, which I recommend. You can pay 99 cents in-game to get all of Episode 1, and then pay $2.99 per remaining episodes. To be clear, the game is free but only provides a part of the first of four episodes.
